Rare Gray Raven

A Raven, that is old before his time? This is a rare gray-raven that was brought into the shelter when he was a very young bird. His parents and siblings left him at the nest site because he was unable to fly. Observers, seen him from the ground and rescued him. They realized that he was from a normal black clutch. Only this bird was gray? He stayed at the Shelter for about 2 months, was fed well and was still not able to fly. This young, one year old Raven, was sent to Vancouver for testing and died from old age, shortly after. An autopsy was performed on the bird and it was found that he was suffering from Progeria. This is a disease causes premature aging in humans, as well as birds.
